M.A. Graduate Research Scholarship

University of Waterloo

Professor Daniel Henstra is offering ONE Graduate Research scholarship for a student applying to the University of Waterloo’s Master of Arts Political Science program for the 2019-2020 academic year.

The scholarship is valued at $6,000 ($3,000 in January 2020; $3,000 in May 2020) and it will be awarded to a student who is interested in writing a thesis about municipal-university partnerships for research and policy development.

This research will be part of a project funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC), which analyzes the enabling conditions for, and potential barriers to, municipal-university partnerships involving quantitative data analysis to strengthen local policy analytical capacity.

The selected candidate will remain eligible for teaching assistant positions, valued at approximately $4,700 per term, and will be considered for entrance awards offered by the Faculty of Arts.

Interested candidates must apply to the University of Waterloo’s MA Political Science program and mention this scholarship as part of their Statement of Interest.

For information on this opportunity, contact Professor Henstra at dhenstra@uwaterloo.ca.

Application Deadline: February 1, 2019 (for Fall 2019 entry).
