The BCPSA Annual General Conference will be held Thursday, May 3rd and Friday, May 4th, 2018, on the Kamloops Campus of Thompson Rivers University. The BCPSA Articulation Committee Meeting and associated workshops will be held on Friday, May 4th.

 

Theme: Comparing Perspectives on Politics

 

This is an annual conference. BCPSA welcomes papers or research posters on a wide variety of topics from any theoretical perspective and across the breadth of the discipline. We equal welcome proposals for Special Panels or Workshops and Posters. (See the BCPSA website for details on proposals and AGMs.)

 

Participation:  is open to all political scientists and others with a scholarly interest in politics, including those from outside Canada. The BCPSA especially welcomes participation from graduate students. Doctoral candidates may submit their proposals and papers directly to the conference organizer; MA students are asked to submit their proposals and papers through a supervising faculty member. Undergraduate students are asked to submit their proposals and papers through a supervising faculty member but may only participate if accompanied by supervising faculty.

 

Location: Kamloops is in a central location in BC, an easy 3 1/2 hour drive up the Coquihalla Highway from Vancouver. The Kamloops Airport is served by Air Canada and WestJet.
