Subject: Proposed CPSA panel - The Politics of Childhood: New Perspectives on Children, Young People and Public Policy

The Politics of Childhood: New Perspectives on Children, Young People and Public Policy

We are looking for researchers who would be interested in participating on this proposed panel for the 2015 CPSA Conference. This panel would consider issues of children and public policy broadly including the political manipulation of the identities of children and young people for political goals, new ways of theorizing childhood in relation to law and public policy, questions of children and young people’s agency in relation to law and public policy, conceptions of citizenship as they relate to children and young people and issues of gender, race, ethnicity and/or sexuality and the law. Please forward proposals for papers for this panel to Carol Dauda (cdauda@uoguelph.ca) by Oct 30th.
