CALL FOR PAPERS

NEW ENGLAND POLITICAL SCIENCE ASSOCIATION ANNUAL MEETING

NEW HAVEN, CT, APRIL 24-25, 2015

The New England Political Science Association invites proposals for papers and panels to be presented at its 2015 annual meeting at the Omni New Haven Hotel at Yale.  In NEPSA’s 66th year, we continue to welcome a broad array of panel and paper proposals reflecting the various subfields of our discipline. We have the following sections for submission of individual papers, full panels, and roundtables:

·   AMERICAN POLITICS

·   CANADIAN POLITICS

·   COMPARATIVE POLITICS

·   INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS

·   POLITICAL THEORY

·   POLITICS AND HISTORY

·   PUBLIC LAW

·   PUBLIC POLICY

This year, in lieu of sending proposals to individual section heads, please send all proposals via email to the dedicated account for the 2015 conference: NEPSA2015@gmail.com.

Submissions should be sent with the subject line “<author name> NEPSA 2015 PROPOSAL: <section name>” and in the message body should include either a working abstract of the paper or a description of the roundtable being proposed (please do not send attachments).  If a full panel is being submitted, the message body should include presenter information and an abstract for each paper to be presented.

If you would like to volunteer as a panel chair or discussant, please also indicate your interest via email to NEPSA2015@gmail.com Your service as chair or discussant would be greatly appreciated, and we especially encourage junior scholars to volunteer.

As always, NEPSA welcomes submissions by graduate students.  For 2015, we are pleased to be able to once again invite submissions by talented undergraduates as well.  Undergraduate proposals should be clearly identified as featuring undergraduate research, and should be submitted by the faculty member or teaching assistant supervising the project.  There is an expectation that undergraduate presenters will be accompanied by their supervisor at the conference.

The deadline for submissions is Friday, December 12th, 2014.  Notifications will be sent out in mid-January.

For more information about the conference, please consult the NEPSA website: http://nepsanet.org/.
